Throwin’ Shapes Flyer

Project: When DJ M.O.D. approached us with the concept for Throwing Shapes (his monthly Techno/House DJ night), we jumped at the chance. Drawing visual inspiration from the early 1920s German Bauhaus movement—infused with color, texture, and typographic shapes implying movement (playing off the event title)—we had a wonderful opportunity to blend design styles on paper, as the event does music genres.

Below: The reverse side, intentionally flipped to portrait orientation so the viewer figuratively gets to “throw shapes” as she interacts with the information on the postcard.
