In concert with BobbyBlue Design, we designed a new global navigation and template system to populate all the other school pages, in addition to the new photography-rich global corporate home.
The result? A bold, colorful overview of the benefits of enrolling your child—whatever the stage of development—in the community of Action Day Primary Plus schools.

Together, we take an epic road trip with the Seattle-based indie-rockers: featuring photographs of dusty, backroad towns, and long stretches of highway—the cover art takes us right to the scene of the accident for a musical collision with all wonderful abrasions and bruises included.

The event was free, and hopefully you were able to attend. If not, I highly recommend you look for future events. This isn’t your daddy’s boring old DJ music—we’re talking live electronic music the likes of which you’ve never seen before!

We had been working on his logo for a few months when this project started, and decided this was a great showcase of that new brand. The photo was chosen from some live-performance shots, and heavily edited for texture and mood. Funny enough, a lot of the gear that is in front of him belongs to the previous performer, but the overall DIY quick-and-dirty aesthetic of the image really rung true to the spirit of the project. Additionally, the title of the final work was chosen after the artwork was complete, based on the greenish-blue background color.

Project: Lisa Ling and Sophia Kim came to us with a challenge: build a world-class social forum for women; a place to share experiences, strength, and wisdom (while still maintaining their anonymity); branded for the modern, sophisticated, stylish woman (not-at-all girly, frilly, or pink); a site that’s expandable, extensible, and flexible enough to handle millions of page-views daily; and complete the entire alpha-site project within 2 weeks—in time to launch during Maria Shriver’s Women’s Conference!! Exkclamation (in conjunction with Leftlane Creative and LYD Labs) rose to the occasion.
In approaching the media kit design, we brought to life all the unique spaces that exist inside the compound through vivid color photography, bold colors, elegant typography, and a clean layout. The result is a simple, sophisticated, 24-page snapshot of the venue, and an excellent marketing tool for their restaurant and club promotions.
